I’m going to briefly share with you my story and what I’ve been able to achieve in my advice businesses through digital marketing.
Over the past 4 years, and lots of trial and error we’ve been able to create a marketing machine that pumps out new leads on demand.
But the biggest impact this has had on me has been a personal one – to experience the feeling of having mastered something you once thought was impossible has really been the most rewarding thing of all.
But unfortunately, it hasn’t always been smooth sailing.
It really wasn’t until I met a coach who introduced me to the concept of digital marketing that my luck began to change.
I completely understand that most advisers out there still generate most of their new work out of referrals, and probably don’t think digital marketing is relevant to them. It’s been a popular approach for a long time now – you network with a whole heap of other businesses, you even hit up existing clients, and hope that both sources send some good leads your way.
And here’s why it’s hard – you have no control over WHO the contacts refer to you, how often they refer to you, and the actual quality of the referrals you receive. It ends up being a lot like a ‘hit and hope’ new business strategy.
